September 2026 Update

MHS

Greetings

And just like that, the first three days have come and gone!

Thank you to our students, staff, and families for making this opening week so successful!

It was fantastic having our students and staff back in the building. The classrooms were buzzing, and we spent the first three days building relationships and learning communities that will carry us throughout the year.

Speaking of this year, I want to share with you all that our theme centers on "Who is in the Room?" Our opening day professional development dove deep into how we are creating learning environments that support all of our learners and ensure that each of them is getting the supports they need in order to be successful. This is something that we will discuss more throughout the year, but I wanted to

Housekeeping/Reminders

Reminders from the opening week of school

  • The building opens for students at 7:20. Please plan your arrival accordingly.
  • The first driveway is available for parent drop-off after our buses depart at approximately 7:24.
  • Students must be in class by 7:40. Many students were tardy on Day 1, and we want to address this early. Again, please plan your arrival accordingly. (Please see visual below)
  • Breakfast closes at 7:35 (at the warning bell). Students must be in the cafeterias prior to 7:35, or they will not be able to get their breakfast for the day, as students must be in first period by 7:40
  • If your child is driving to school, they must have a parking permit. We noticed many cars on campus that were not registered. (Please see the visual below for more information)
  • We ask parents to continue reminding students about the updated cell phone policy, which was rolled out throughout the summer. We want to ensure that everyone is clear on the expectations for the 2026 - 2027 school year.
