Welcome Back!!
Good afternoon, Woolies!
We are looking forward to welcoming our students back tomorrow after a wonderful first two days of professional development. The past two weeks at the junior-senior high school have been fast-paced with hallways full of students and staff, as well as our student leadership conference, freshmen orientation, fall athletics seasons, and new teacher orientation! Last week, our Band Camp concluded after an amazing two weeks of constant performing!
This year is primed to be a fantastic one here at MHS, with much of what we, as a community, have come to love as part of our traditions, but we also have so much more happening that we cannot wait to share with our students and families in the upcoming weeks and months.
We also know that the first day of school brings a wave of emotions- excitement, nervousness, anticipation, and maybe even a little bit of “are we really ready for this?” for our students, families, and staff alike. Please know that we are prepared, and our priority tomorrow is making sure every student feels welcomed, supported, and ready to begin the year on the right foot. As part of our opening day, we will celebrate our Seniors as they begin their official last first day of school, while also welcoming our newest Woolies in Grade 7 with mini-tours to help them find their way and feel at home.
Whether tomorrow feels exciting, overwhelming, or somewhere in between, we are in this together. We cannot wait to see our Woolies back in the building tomorrow. Let’s make it a great first day!
Looking forward to tomorrow. Have a wonderful evening.
Sincerely,
Chris Lowe
