Greetings

Dear Woolie Families,

As we enter June, the final stretch of the 2025 – 2026 school year is upon us! With just a few weeks remaining, we’re excited to share all of the amazing events and activities happening throughout the month.

Our last month is packed with significant moments, from student performances, playoff sports, award ceremonies, and the highly anticipated lead-up to Graduation. There’s a lot going on, and we hope you'll be able to join us in celebrating these special occasions.

Our students and staff continue to put in tremendous effort to maintain a strong focus on learning as we wrap up the school year. We're proud of all the hard work taking place and look forward to sharing it with you.

As always, thank you for your ongoing support. It means so much to our entire school community.

Warm regards,
Chris Lowe

The Class of 2026

It is hard to believe that we are just days away from the Class of 2026’s commencement ceremony.

As always, this time of year brings a mix of emotions throughout our school. There is so much excitement for what lies ahead for this remarkable group of students, but there is also a real sense of nostalgia as we begin to realize that the daily conversations, laughter, energy, and spirit they bring to our hallways are preparing to move on to their next chapter.

Like the classes before them, this senior class has left its mark on our school in so many ways - through their talents, personalities, leadership, resilience, humor, creativity, and the unique ways each of them has contributed to our community.

As we prepare for the Graduation ceremony, we encourage everyone to take the time to celebrate our seniors, reflect on the memories that have been made, and truly appreciate the impact they have had on our school.

We hope our seniors take in every moment that comes with graduation season, because these are the memories and milestones that stay with you for a lifetime.

Congratulations, Class of 2026, we are going to miss you!

Staff Spotlight

Thank you, Mrs. Courtney

As we close out the school year, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. MaryEllen Courtney for her 34 years of dedicated service to Millbury Public Schools. Throughout her career as a junior high school counselor, MaryEllen has been a steady source of support, guidance, and encouragement for countless students and families. Whether helping students navigate academic challenges, supporting their social and emotional well-being, or simply providing a caring ear when it was needed most, she has made a lasting difference in the lives of so many. Her compassion, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to students have helped shape a school community where young people feel supported, valued, and empowered to succeed. We thank Mrs. Courtney for the tremendous impact she has had on our students, families, staff, and the Millbury community as a whole, and we wish her all the best in her well-deserved retirement.

Thank you, Mrs. Slater

As we close out the school year, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Mrs. Christine Slater for her remarkable 26 years of service to the Millbury Public Schools. Throughout her career as a junior high ELA teacher, Mrs. Slater has touched the lives of countless students through her dedication, patience, and unwavering commitment to helping young people grow as readers, writers, and individuals. Beyond the classroom, she has built strong relationships with families and colleagues and has been a positive presence within our school community for more than two decades. We thank Mrs. Slater for her years of service, celebrate her many contributions, and wish her all the best in this next chapter.
