Sending a Course Selection Update
Dear Woolie families,
We are sending along a copy of the email that we sent to the 8th grade students today. It is to help them understand our course selection process and how they can be prepared.
Hi fantastic 8th graders!
It is finally your turn to pick classes starting next week!! Here is the Link to Program of Studies, (list of all courses, their descriptions and what grades they are open to).
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
1. Everyone picks classes for next year for MHS (sadly, we do know some of you will transfer but you need to do this anyway).
2. You should look at what courses were recommended for you in YOUR Aspen account.
3. Look at the electives (classes that are not core classes like English I or Biology) because you get to have a choice finally!!!
4. Unless you are taking Ensemble (Band and Chorus), then you need to choose alternatives because you get last choice (seniors first, then juniors, then sophomore, then you!).
5. Brainstorm with your family about what you would like to do in the future
6. Lastly, always ask questions!! That is what school counselors are for.
This QR code has a print out for planning purposes. Use the Screencastify link so students can understand how to navigate Aspen.
Here is the schedule for when counselors will be coming to your Civics class!!
Monday - A - Baldini, C - Baldini, E- Baldini
Tues - F - Baldini, D - DiGregorio
Wed - E -DiGregorio
We encourage questions from home too! Thank you for your support.
