December 2025 Update

MHS

Greetings

Good afternoon, Woolie families!

November found us celebrating so many students' successes, as we recognized students from a variety of curricular and co-curricular activities.

It's hard to believe that we are already entering the month of December. Without question, this school year is flying by.

This month, I wanted to take a moment to thank the Millbury Community for continually supporting and prioritizing the needs of our schools.

With the recent approval of the roof projects for both the Junior-Senior High School and Elmwood, we recognize that this will require adjustments to our end-of-the-year activities. Please know that we are actively planning for any and all adjustments to ensure we meet the completion timeline while minimizing disruptions to the events and experiences we have come to expect at the end of the school year. As information on the next steps becomes available, I will share it with you as quickly as possible.

As always, we appreciate your partnership and support. I hope that you all have an amazing holiday season with your loved ones.

Best,
Chris Lowe

Congratulations to the Cast and Crew of Clue

Congratulations to the cast and crew of Clue on another amazing performance! Please see the takeaways from Mr. Calderon, who saw his first Millbury Drama Club performance. He shared his thoughts with our staff on the Monday following the performance:

I hope each of you had a fun and relaxing weekend. I wanted to share with you that the highlight of my weekend was Friday night at 7, when I had the privilege of going to see the production of Clue on Stage.

This production had the perfect combination of twists and turns paired with dry humor. I couldn't stop laughing from start to finish. The students behind the scenes made sure the execution of the production was flawless. The actors clearly showcased their talents, making each character come to life. I still have no idea how they were able to memorize all of those lines.

A special thank you to Danielle Rieder, Annie Hammer, Louis Martinez, and Candice Bennett for all of their hard work and dedication that made this show possible. The students were not only well prepared, but you could tell they were genuinely having fun. I left the show Friday night, having fully enjoyed my first experience at the Millbury Jr./Sr. High School theater.

Thank you to all who went out to see the show and support our beyond talented students.

The five finalists were Sam Lugo, Eme Moroney, Will Adrianopoulous, McKenzie Settle, and overall winner Arianna Sylvester.

Congratulations to all of our participants, and a HUGE congrats to Ari on being announced the winner.

A special thank you to the Lions Club for their continued support.

Wellness Day and National Unified Champion School Spotlight

National Banner celebration
Thank you to our School Counseling Department for their Recap of our annual Wellness Day.

The day was a wonderful way for our school to decompress and reset as we went into Thanksgiving Break.

Wellness day culminated in us receiving our National Banner School recognition from Special Olympics of Massachusetts. We were one of 17 schools across the State, and one of approximately 221 across the country to receive this designation. A HUGE thank you to all of our Unified Athletes, coaches, and assistants for their efforts in continuing to support the program.

A special thank you to our school community for sharing an understanding of why we prioritize our Unified programming. As before every unified sporting event, the Oath reads, "Let me win. But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt".

As we embarked on our journey with Unified and our partnership with Special Olympics of Massachusetts, our goal has always been about finding ways to continue promoting Inclusion & Unity, Effort & Attitude, Acceptance, and Teamwork. The principles are carried throughout our program of studies and inside and outside of the classroom spaces.

Again, thank you for all that made this a reality for our school.
